Shadow of the Sun

These songs explore the idea that there is a greater reality beyond what we see, and that one day we will actually be able to experience the full light of that. I had this idea of a light brighter than the sun casting a shadow of the sun, so I tried it with two light bulbs, and sure enough, there was a shadow of the filament on the ground! I asked my friend Josh who is great at photography to take a picture of it for the album cover. But then I had a dream about a very scary event in which a giant black cube came and eclipsed the sun sucking all the air from the earth. Pretty far out! But I really felt I wanted that to be the album cover! So I made a picture on my 3D creation software and the new album cover was born. The image Josh had taken became the tray image on the Jewel case. That is the image you see if you scroll down. I wanted this album to be quite a mix of Electric guitar and synth, and I concentrated a lot on the instrumentation of the tracks and backing vocals. Jude my sister features on some of  the tracks, also a friend of mine Jonathan Howells who kindly recorded drums for me in his studio
